Care that carries on after the last bell
Family life does not always fit neatly into school hours. JENS Primary School offers homework classes, aftercare and practical help for families who travel far, so your child is looked after in a calm and familiar place.
Homework classes
Homework classes are offered daily, giving learners dedicated time and support to complete their schoolwork before they go home.
Aftercare
Our aftercare programme is available for learners who need care after the school day. It includes homework support and a sandwich, and runs from 1:00 to 3:00 pm (or 4:00 pm depending on annual demand).
Learners from outlying areas
We welcome learners from surrounding and outlying areas, including Mount Ayliff, Swartberg, Matatiele and Harding. These learners attend homework classes at no extra cost, as they spend long hours travelling.
Welcoming all language learners
We are an English medium school, and we welcome all language learners. Our aim is an inclusive, supportive learning environment for every child.
Private boarding
Private boarding accommodation is available in a safe, private home environment.
